TOASTED COCONUT FLAKES

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment; brush parchment with oil. Stir together honey, five-spice powder, and 2 teaspoons water. Add coconut; gently toss to evenly coat. Spread in a single layer on prepared baking sheet and bake, stirring halfway through, until golden and dry, 8 to 10 minutes. Let cool completely. Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 1 week.
VANILLA ICE CREAM WITH TOASTED COCONUT FLAKES
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Toast coconut flakes until golden brown. Put flakes in a bowl and toss with melted butter. Scoop ice cream into 4 dessert bowls and sprinkle toasted coconut flakes, while warm, on top of ice cream. Serve.
