1/2 cup butter
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
1 package frozen chopped spinach, cooked and drained
8 ounces cooked crabmeat (not the imitation)
3/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (optional)
melba rounds or cracker

Steps:

  • Slowly melt butter in heavy saucepan.
  • Add onion and saute until soft.
  • Add spinach to onion mixture.
  • Add crab meat and cheese.
  • Stir until just heated.
  • Add pepper sauce.
  • Serve with melba rounds.

I love spinach and crab meat, so when I saw this recipe I couldn't wait to try it! This combination makes for a wonderful appetizer and the presentation is lovely. Try it at your next party!

1 stick(s) butter
1/2 - onion, chopped
1 package(s) frozen spinach
3/4 cup(s) parmesan cheese, grated
1 can(s) crabmeat

Steps:

  • Cook spinach according to package directions; drain.
  • Melt butter in skillet. Add chopped onion and cook until soft. Remove from heat.
  • Add cooked, drained spinach, crabmeat, cheese. Mix well.
  • Spoon into pastry cups, or serve with crackers.
