TASTY PIZZA SEASONING

A delicious seasoning to top your pizza with prior to baking or after. The recipe calls for crushed red pepper, but I leave it out because my girlfriend is sensitive to spicy things. So I add it to my slices after serving for that extra flavor and kick. The seasoning is delicious either way you make it.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 1/2 tablespoons oregano
1 tablespoon dried basil or 1 tablespoon sweet basil
1 teaspoon ground dried rosemary
1 1/2 tablespoons dried onion flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Mix all the spices together in a small to mid size container or seasoning container and shake it up to blend all the ingredients.
  • If you can't get ground rosemary use a mortar and pestle to grind the leaves or or finely chop them. A clean coffee grinder would also do the trick.

2 tablespoons basil
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon thyme
1 tablespoon fennel
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon black pepper, coarsely ground
1 tablespoon lemon zest (dried form How to Dry Citrus Zest (Lemon/Orange/Lime/Grapefruit))

Steps:

  • Combine all spices and seal in tight container. Use amount to taste.
