1 Hormel lemon-garlic pork loin filet (about 1-1/3 pounds)
1 can (12 ounces) Dr Pepper
1 bottle (18 ounces) barbecue sauce
6 hamburger buns, split

Steps:

  • Place pork in a 3-qt. slow cooker. Pour Dr Pepper over top. Cover and cook on low until meat is tender, 7-9 hours., Remove meat; cool slightly. Discard cooking juices. Shred meat with 2 forks and return to slow cooker. Stir in barbecue sauce; heat through. Serve on buns. Freeze option: Place individual portions of cooled meat mixture and juice in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Microwave, covered, on high in a microwave-safe dish until heated through, stirring occasionally; add a little water if necessary.

1/3 cup liquid smoke
3 tablespoons paprika
3 teaspoons salt
3 teaspoons pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1 boneless pork shoulder butt roast (3 to 4 pounds)
1 bottle (18 ounces) barbecue sauce
10 hamburger buns, split

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, whisk the first 6 ingredients; rub over roast. Place roast in a 5- or 6-qt. slow cooker. Cook, covered, on low until meat is tender, 8-10 hours., Remove roast; cool slightly. Discard cooking juices. Shred pork with 2 forks; return to slow cooker. Stir in barbecue sauce; heat through. Serve on buns. To make ahead: In a small bowl, whisk the first 6 ingredients; rub over roast. Place roast in a freezer container and freeze. To use, place roast in refrigerator 48 hours or until completely thawed. Cook and serve as directed. Freeze option: Freeze cooled meat mixture in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. 1 boneless pork shoulder butt roast (3 pounds)
1/3 cup spicy brown mustard
1/3 cup molasses
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
Baked sweet potatoes, optional

Steps:

  • Place pork in a 3- or 4-qt. slow cooker. Combine the mustard, molasses, brown sugar and soy sauce; pour over roast. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until meat is tender., Remove meat; cool slightly. Skim fat from cooking juices; transfer to a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Combine cornstarch and water until smooth; gradually stir into juices. Return to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened., Shred meat with two forks; return to the slow cooker. 1 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder

2 pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch-thick slices (1.5 to 2 pounds total)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
3 tablespoons cider vinegar

Steps:

  • Combine all the dry spices, including salt and pepper. Pat pork dry with paper towels, and sprinkle all over with spice mixture.
  • Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat until just smoking. Add pork and cook until well-browned, about 4 or 5 minutes per side. Transfer to large bowl, tent with foil. Let rest 5 minutes. Using 2 forks, shred into bite-sized pieces.

1 (5 pound) boneless pork loin roast
1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
1 pinch poultry seasoning, or to taste
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
1 large onion, quartered
1 apple, cored and quartered
3 stalks celery
1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
½ cup butter
2 cups chopped celery
1 ½ cups chopped onion
4 cups ketchup
2 cups water
⅔ cup cider vinegar
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
1 tablespoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Place pork in a slow cooker and season to taste with garlic powder, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add quartered onion, apple, and 3 celery stalks. Pour chicken broth into slow cooker.
  • Cook on Low until very tender, about 8 hours. Transfer pork to a large platter and discard juice and vegetables. Shred pork with a fork and return to the slow cooker.
  • Prepare barbecue sauce while pork is cooking. Melt butter in a large saucepan or small Dutch oven over medium heat; cook and stir 2 cups celery and 1 1/2 cups onion until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Add ketchup, water, vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, liquid smoke, and 1 tablespoon garlic powder; mix. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until sauce is thickened, about 10 minutes. Pour barbecue sauce over shredded pork.
  • Continue cooking pork on Low heat until flavors combine, about 2 hours.
