This zesty sauce is a favorite of all our family and friends. It's simple to make, and good with the turkey or on leftover turkey or chicken sandwiches. Adjust the amount of horseradish to taste.

4 cups fresh cranberries
2 cups water
1 ½ cups white sugar
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish

Steps:

  • Place cranberries and water in a medium saucepan. Over high heat, cook until the cranberries burst.
  • Lower heat to simmer. Stir in sugar. Continue cooking 15 minutes.
  • Allow mixture to cool. Stir in horseradish. Chill in the refrigerator until serving.

Yield 3 cups.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 can (14-1/2 ounces) Italian stewed tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 tablespoon molasses
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1 can (14 ounces) whole-berry cranberry sauce

Steps:

  • Place the first nine ingredients in a blender; cover and process until almost smooth. Transfer to a saucepan; add cranberry sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Serve warm or cold as an accompaniment to poultry or pork. Refrigerate leftovers.

1 package cranberries, fresh
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 tangerine or lemon
1 cup sugar or coconut palm sugar
1 cup water

Steps:

  • 1. Use double boiler and add 1 cup sugar or coconut palm sugar, 1 cup water, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla.
  • 2. Grate peel of one tangerine or lemon and juice into mixture.
  • 3. Stir occasionally cranberry mixture over double boiler adding more water to keep double boiler from running out of boiling water. Stir mixture until all the cranberries have popped open & started to thicken.
