- Drain pineapple, reserving juice; set pineapple aside. In a small bowl, combine the pineapple juice, cornstarch, broth, soy sauce, ginger and garlic. Set aside.
- Cook your rice.
- Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook the beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain and set aside. (original instructions called for cooking veggies first, then beef. I like to do it the other way around.).
- Add oil to pan and stir fry the broccoli, mushrooms, red pepper and water chestnuts for 3-5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Remove and set aside.
- Put the beef back in the skillet, add the cornstarch mixture and bring to a boil. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in the reserved vegetable mixture and pineapple; heat through. Serve over rice.

- Cook and crumbled the bacon.
- Set aside.
- Cook the broccoli until tender crisp.
- Drain.
- Mix the rest of the ingredients (except bacon) in a small saucepan.
- Heat over low-medium heat.
- Pour over top of the broccoli.
- Sprinkle the bacon on top.

I came up with this idea one night when my family last minute decided they wanted something Asian for dinner. I had thawed out some chicken breast earlier that day and so my mind just went from there!

Steps:
- Stir together all of the sauce ingredients and set aside.
- In a large wok or skillet, over medium-high heat, brown the bacon and then remove from the pan.
- Add the rest of the stir fry ingredients to the pan and stir fry for 3 minutes.
- Add then sauce and stir fry for about 2-3 minutes; crumble in the bacon.
- Serve with white or fried rice, or just as it is.
- ENJOY!

- Place broccoli in a steamer over 1 inch of boiling water, and cover. Cook until tender but still firm, about 5 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat, and saute the chicken, green onions, and garlic until the chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear.
- Stir the hoisin sauce, chile paste, and soy sauce into the skillet; season with ginger, red pepper, salt, and black pepper. Stir in the chicken stock and simmer about 2 minutes. Mix in the steamed broccoli until coated with the sauce mixture.
