FROZEN SLUSH



Frozen Slush image

In Hobson, Montana, Darlene White mixes up this sweet fruity slush using juices, berries and soft drink mix. Then she stores it in the freezer for unexpected company. Simply pour a little citrus soda over scoops of the colorful mixture for frosty and refreshing beverages.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 can (46 ounces) pineapple juice
8 cups water
1 can (12 ounces) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 can (12 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
4 cups sugar
2 cups fresh or frozen unsweetened raspberries
2 envelopes unsweetened cherry soft drink mix or other red flavor of your choice
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENT:
Grapefruit or citrus soda

Steps:

  • In a 6-qt. container, combine the first seven ingredients. Cover and freeze for 12 hours, stirring every 2 hours. May be frozen for up to 3 months. , For each serving: Place 1/2 cup fruit slush in a glass. Add 1/2 cup soda.

Frozen fruit slush is a very refreshing snack for a hot summer afternoon. It is made with orange juice, pineapple, and fresh fruit.

6 oz. frozen orange juice concentrate
3 c. water
3/4 c. sugar, optional
1 can crushed pineapple with juice (20 oz.)
3 - 4 bananas, sliced
3 - 4 c. strawberries, sliced
2. c blueberries, fresh or frozen

Steps:

  • Mix orange juice concentrate, water, and sugar. Stir until dissolved.
  • Add a can of crushed pineapples along with the juice.
  • Add sliced bananas, strawberries, and blueberries.
  • Freeze until solid.
  • Remove from the freezer several hours before serving so that it's partially thawed for a slushie.

1 package (3 ounces) strawberry gelatin
2 cups boiling water
1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1 can (12 ounces) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 can (12 ounces) frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
2 cups cold water
2 liters lemon-lime soda, chilled

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve sugar and gelatin in boiling water. In a blender, combine pineapple juice and strawberries; cover and process until blended. Add to gelatin mixture. Stir in concentrates and cold water. Cover and freeze for 8 hours or overnight. , Remove from the freezer 45 minutes before serving. For each serving, combine 1/2 cup slush mixture with 1/2 cup lemon-lime soda; stir well.

1 ¾ cups white sugar
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple
1 (20 ounce) package frozen strawberries, chopped
4 bananas, diced
5 cups ginger ale
25 9-ounce clear plastic cups

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, stir the orange juice concentrate and sugar together until the sugar has dissolved; gently stir in the pineapple, strawberries, and bananas until coated, then stir in the ginger ale.
