YUMMY BAKED CHICKEN THIGHS IN TANGY SAUCE
Another delicious recipe my mother makes and I finally got the recipe for. Tender chicken thighs and tangy sauce are perfect served over rice. Adults and kids alike will love this! Enjoy!

- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
- Whisk ketchup, water, vinegar, butter, onion, paprika, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper, and steak sauce together in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, for flavors to blend.
- Spread chicken thighs in a single layer in a baking dish. Pour sauce over chicken thighs.
- Bake chicken in the preheated oven until thighs are cooked through and sauce is bubbling, about 2 hours. An instant-read meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of a thigh should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

- Mix all ingredients, except chicken, in a bowl.
- Place chicken pieces in a baking pan. Sprinkle with pepper. No extra salt is needed.
- Pour sauce over chicken and make sure it's coated well.
- Roast uncovered at 400 degrees for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes until chicken is done. Baste several times during cooking. This is the way the chicken will look when done.

- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
- Combine the mustard, soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and honey in a baking dish; season with garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper to your liking.
- Add the chicken and toss to coat; turn skin side up and place in oven; bake 40 minutes, flipping chicken halfway through.
- Increase oven temperature to 500 degrees; turn chicken skin side up again and place back in oven. (You could also just use your broiler for this).
- Serve with oregano-scented rice (white rice cooked with oregano) and roasted green beans (toss the vegetables in olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and place in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes). Drizzle plate with pan juices.

- Combine salad dressing mix and pepper. In a 3-qt. slow cooker, layer half of the chicken, butter, salad dressing mixture, onion and garlic. Repeat layers. - Heat the butter and olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sprinkle chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Sear chicken in batches until golden, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove the chicken to a plate and set aside.
- Meanwhile, whisk together the chicken stock, soy sauce, sherry, brown sugar, hoisin and sesame oil in a small bowl and set aside.
- Add the onions, chili paste, ginger, garlic and scallions to the pan and cook, stirring frequently, for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour in the sauce and deglaze the pan, then return the chicken to the pot.
