1 c sugar
1 c brown sugar
4 eggs beaten
1 c oil
1 1/2 c self-rising flour
1 tsp vanilla
2 c pecans, finely chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease and flour 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • 2. Using a wooden spoon stir together sugar, brown sugar, eggs and oil in a medium bowl until smooth.
  • 3. Stir in flour and vanilla. Add pecans, then stir until evenly mixed.
  • 4. Spoon into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.

Not sure where this recipe got it's name as it is more like a cake but if you are a pecan lover, this recipe is definitely one to try. I never frost it but I guess you could. A cream cheese frosting might be good.

1 c sugar
1 c brown sugar, firmly packed
4 large eggs, beaten
1 c canola oil
1 1/2 c self rising flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 c pecans, in pieces

Steps:

  • 1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease and flour a 13x9 baking dish.
  • 2. In a medium bowl stir together both sugars, eggs, oil and vanilla. Stir with wooden spoon until well beaten.
  • 3. Stir in flour and mix well. Add pecans, stir to mix pecans evenly through batter. Spoon into prepared 13x9 baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean.

2 C. Finely chopped pecans
1 ½ C. Self rising flour
1 C. Granulated sugar
1 C. Brown sugar
1 C. Vegetable oil
4 Large eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
¼ tsp. Salt

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil and eggs to a mixing bowl and beat on high until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the flour, vanilla and salt to the mixing bowl and beat on high until well combined.
  • Fold the pecans into the batter and spread it in the bottom of a well greased 9x13 baking dish.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until cooked through. Let rest for 15 minutes before serving.
