SUBSTITUTE FOR SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK
This is an unbelievably awesome substitute. It works great and I think it tastes better then the real stuff. I was making fudge the other day and half way through realized that I didn't have any sweetened condensed milk. This worked great.

- Mix evaporated milk and sugar (to taste) in a medium-sized saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a boil. Do not stir while heating.
- Once the mixture is creamy, remove from the heat and allow to cool.
- Place the mixture in you desired container.

SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK SUBSTITUTE
I found this on ochef.com. According to them, recipes using dried (powdered) milk approximate the texture but not the flavor of true sweetened condensed milk, and the following recipe tastes much better.
