My husband's grandmother served us this pie many years ago and we loved it. It has become a family favorite. It can be made with sugar-free jello and pudding if you prefer. It's a nice, light summer treat.

1 prepared graham cracker crusts or 1 vanilla wafer pie crust
4 cups strawberries, sliced
1 (3 ounce) package strawberry Jell-O gelatin dessert
1 (3 ounce) package vanilla pudding mix (the cooked kind)
2 1/4 cups water
6 tablespoons Cool Whip

Steps:

  • Place strawberries in the pie shell.
  • Set aside.
  • Mix jello and pudding with water.
  • Heat to a full boil, then remove from heat.
  • Pour over berries and chill.
  • Top with 1 T.
  • Cool Whip, if desired.

1 box instant strawberry jello
8 oz cream cheese
1 9 inch grahm cracker pie crust
1 lb fresh strawberries sliced
1/2 c sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Mix your jello and hot water togather according to box directions set aside. Place your 8 oz of cream cheese in a med sized bowl. Mix your jello liquid with your cream cheese and blend well. Pour mixture in a 9 inch grahm cracker pie shell place the strawberries 1 layer at a time on top pie sprinkle with sugar. Freeze for 1 hr and serve

1 6" reduced fat graham cracker pie shell
1 .3oz pkg sugar free strawberry jello (or half of a .6oz pkg)
1/4 c boiling water
2 6-8oz containers fat free or light strawberry yogurt
1 8oz container free cool whip

Steps:

  • 1. Dissolve the jello in 1/4 cup boiling water.
  • 2. With a wire whisk, stir in yogurt, one at a time.
  • 3. Gently fold in cool whip until completely incorporated.
  • 4. Pour mixture in pre-made pie shell.
  • 5. Refrigerate at least 4 hours. Preferably overnight.
  • 6. Top with more cool whip and/or fresh strawberries! YUM!!

Summer is upon us, so what better way to celebrate with a strawberry pie that won't add inches. I got this recipe from another site and adapted it. Absolutely delicious!

1 (9 inch) pie crusts (reduced fat graham is best)
1 quart fresh strawberries
1 cup Splenda granular
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 cup water

Steps:

  • Arrange half of the strawberries(cut up) in the bottom of the pie shell. I usually put enough to cover the bottom.
  • Mash remaining berries and combine with Splenda in a medium saucepan. Place saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Gradually stir cornstarch mixture into boiling strawberry mixture. Reduce heat and simmer mixture until thickened, stirring constantly.
  • Pour mixture over berries in pie shell. Chill several hours before serving.
  • Top with Cool Whip Free and enjoy!

3/4 cup crushed pretzel
3/4 cup crushed graham cracker
1/2 cup Splenda granular, divided evenly
6 tablespoons margarine, melted
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons skim milk
1 cup lite Cool Whip
2 cups water, boiling
1 (8 ounce) package sugar-free strawberry gelatin
1 1/2 cups cold water

Steps:

  • Mix the pretzel and graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup of splenda and the margarine.
  • Firmly press into the bottom of an 8x8 pan. Set aside.
  • Beat the cream cheese, remaining splenda, and milk until smooth. Stir in the cool whip and spread over the crumb crust. Put in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes, until set.
  • Stir the boiling water into the jello mix until dissolved. Stir in the cold water. Refrigerate 30 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  • Spoon over the cream cheese layer and refrigerate an hour or so, until completely set.

1 baked 9-inch pie shell
1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries
1 cup water
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 small box strawberry jello {3 oz. size}
1 cup heavy whipping cream
3 tablespoons powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Wash and hull strawberries. Place them upside down in cooked pie shell and set aside. In a liquid measuring cup or small bowl, pour in water, cornstarch and sugar. Stir until mostly dissolved. Microwave 1-2 minutes until mixture bubbles up and thickens. {It should turn translucent.} Stir in strawberry jello powder and pour over strawberries. Spread over top and refrigerate until set, 2-3 hours. In a large bowl, whip cream, sugar and vanilla together until stiff peaks form. Spread over top pie and garnish with more fresh strawberries. Serve cold. Recipe tips: In my opinion everything is better with whipped cream but growing up we ate this pie without it. It's delicious either way :)
