This came about when I wanted to use up some items from the kitchen and threw it all together for a delicious smoothie!

Steps:
- Just blend everything together! Add more or less of anything to get it to just the right consistency/taste.
- I added chocolate syrup to the glass to make it look nice (doesn't change the taste really).
- A good variation also is to add maple syrup instead of honey!

- In a large saucepan, combine strawberries and vinegar; let stand for 1 hour. Add sugar; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Cool. Strain through a double layer of cheesecloth; do not press fruit. Let stand for 1 hour. Store in a sterilized jar in a cool dark place.

One of my favoriete hot drinks during fall. We have a plethora of fresh strawberries in the summer, so I just slice and freeze them for use year round. It is good hot or cold.

Steps:
- Combine apple cider or juice, frozen strawberries, stick cinnamon, and whole cloves in a large saucepan.
- Bring to boiling and reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Strain through a sieve lined with 100%-cotton cheesecloth.
- To serve, pour beverage into eight heatproof glasses.
- Garnish each serving with a cinnamon stick and a fresh strawberry or apple slice, if desired. Makes 8 (8 oz) servings.
