2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
½ cup honey
¼ cup olive oil
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon honey, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Toss sweet potatoes, 1/2 cup honey, and olive oil together in a bowl until potatoes are completely coated. Spread potatoes out on a baking sheet and drizzle any remaining olive oil mixture over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until tender, 25 to 30 minutes. Cool on the baking sheet, 5 to 10 minutes; dust potatoes with cinnamon. Transfer sweet potatoes to plates and drizzle with remaining honey.

6 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup olive oil
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. Place potatoes in a large bowl. Whisk together honey, oil, salt, cinnamon and pepper; add to potatoes and toss to coat. Transfer to a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Roast until tender, 45-50 minutes, stirring once.

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, more for the pan
3 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (regular is fine if you don't have smoked)
4 medium sweet potatoes, preferably the same size and shape, peeled, halved crosswise, and quartered lengthwise (2 lb. total)
kosher salt
fresh ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 400°F Lightly butter a large Pyrex or ceramic baking dish that can hold the sweet potato wedges in one layer.
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter. Whisk in the honey, orange juice, and spices. Put the sweet potatoes in the buttered baking dish, add the honey mixture, and toss the pieces well to coat them thoroughly. Arrange the sweet potatoes in a single layer; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Roast until the potatoes are browned and tender and the juices are bubbly and thickened, 45 to 55 minutes. To ensure even roasting, stir and baste several times with the pan juices, doing so more frequently toward the end of roasting. Serve at once.

1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 cup orange juice concentrate

  • Place sweet potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 40-45 minutes or until tender. Drain and cool. Cut into 1/2-in. slices. 2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion, roughly diced
1/4-1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

  • Preheat oven to 400.

A friend of our family use to make this dish when sweet potatoes are in season. I think its a traditional Canadian recipe. Our friend has a sister that lives in Toronto and gave her the recipe.

4 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup orange juice
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons brandy
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup granulated sugar
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Steps:

  • Boil the sweet potatoes in water until tender. Then drain and mash them.
  • Add the butter, orange juice, honey, brandy, salt and the nutmeg.
  • Place in a buttered casserole dish.
  • Preheat the oven at 180C or 350°F.
  • Combine the sugar, the butter and the walnuts. Sprinkle over the potato mixture.
  • Place into the oven and cook for 45 minutes.
