SPICY SEASONED PRETZELS

These spicy pretzels are the ultimate snack! Mini twist pretzels soaked in oil & coated in a homemade seasoning blend that bursts with flavor in every bite!

16 oz bag tiny twist pretzels
1 cup avocado oil
2 teaspoon garlic salt
2 teaspoons lemon pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Pour oil and spices into a gallon ziploc bag. Seal and shake to evenly combine oil with spices
  • Add in pretzels, seal up ziploc bag, and gently shake to combine.
  • Allow pretzels to soak up the seasoned oil for at least 6 hours, or ideally for 24 hours. Turn bag to shake up pretzels every few hours. No need to bake them, the pretzels will soak up all the oil.
  • Will keep in an airtight container for at least 1 week.

The first time I made these, I thought my husband was gonna make himself SICK eating them!! I am now requested to make them for every get together, every football viewing, &...

1 regular size bag of pretzel sticks
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 pkg hidden valley ranch dry mix
3/4 c canola oil
gallon zip lock baggie

Steps:

  • 1. Put pretzels in a gallon zip lock bag. Mix cayenne pepper, lemon pepper, garlic powder, ranch & canola oil together...pour over pretzels in zip lock baggie. It's best if you can leave over night but a couple hours will work, too. I always bag them the night before & cook them the next morning.
  • 2. Spread out on large baking sheet. Bake at 200 for 40 min.
  • 3. .*** My husband likes a real kick to these, so I double the cayenne, lemon pepper, and garlic salt when mixing the spices...He LOVES them like that!!***

1 cup canola oil
1 envelope ranch salad dressing mix
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 pound (12 cups) pretzel sticks

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the oil, dressing mix, garlic salt and cayenne. Divide pretzels between 2 ungreased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Pour oil mixture over pretzels; stir to coat. , Bake at 200° for 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

Bring on Football and Beer..lol I use christmas shapes pretzels along with the other during the holidays. Just throw in a couple of handfuls to your 1 bag. I played with the spices to make it more spicy.As the commercial says betcha can't eat just one.

1 pkg rold gold pretzels or any quality variety i use small bite size.
1 pkg hidden valley ranch dressing mix
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning (lawrys the best)
1 tsp cayenne pepper ( adjust to your taste after 1st.batch)
1 tsp chili powder
hot and spicy peanuts ( optional) i use about 1/2 cup or more to taste
smoked jalepeno almonds 1/2 cup
3/4 c wesson oil

Steps:

  • 1. Mix Seasonings together in a measuring cup, add Oil stir well.
  • 2. Place 1/4 bag pretzels in a large bowl and add a couple of Tbs.seasoned oil over them. Stir. Wait 15 min. Repeat till bag is empty. Place on a cookie sheet let dry overnight. Can double the batch for gifting anytime.
  • 3. If your adding the nuts, it is 1/4 bag of pretzels throw in a small handfull of nuts over each addition coat stir and set for 15 min. stir and add another layer till the bag is empty..pour out cover and let dry overnight.

1 bag butter snaps, twist pretzels or regular
2 tsp garlic powder
1 pkg 1 oz ranch seasoning packet
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for heat)
1 tsp dried dill weed
1 tsp lemon pepper
1/3 c butter flavored popcorn oil

Steps:

  • . Preheat oven to 200°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Add seasonings to a large ziploc bag. Then add the oil and mix well.
  • Add pretzels and gently coat moving the seasoning around the bag.
  • Let pretzels soak for 20 minutes, turning bag every 5 minutes. (leave in longer for thicker pretzels)
  • Bake for 40 minutes, mixing every 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely then store in a cool dry place in an airtight bag or container
