CHAI TEA MIX
I received this recipe from my sister, who got it from a friend in Alaska. This warming drink makes a great Christmas gift. For friends at work, I bought some cute jars with lids. I placed some fabric on top and tied them with ribbon. -Donna Gish, Blue Springs, Missouri

- In a large bowl, combine the first 12 ingredients. In a blender, cover and process tea mixture in batches until powdery. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months., To prepare chai tea: Place 1/4 cup mix in a mug. Add hot milk; stir until combined.

AFGHAN TEA - AN AUTHENTIC FAMILY RECIPE
This is a great recipe for the typical tea drunk in Afghani homes. It is easy to make and very warming. Traditionally you drink it with sugar but if you wish to leave it out or sub with Splenda etc, that's OK!

Steps:
- Gently 'bruise' the cardamon by smacking with a rolling to open the husk up a little.
- Place the cardamon, milk & tea bags in a pan & slowly simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat, mix in sugar & pour into cups to serve.

It's just to yummy! Great this time of the year. You can pakage all the spices in a pretty bag or glass jar enclosed with directions. And give away! The picture displays not only the tea but the spices that make it.

Steps:
- Bring to a boil spices in water, then simmer 20 minutes.
- Add tea for 5 minutes no longer it will be to bitter!
- Strain.
- Add sugar and milk stir to dissolve.
- Drink Up!
- Or cool and add ice for a refreshing summer drink.
