Time 20m

Yield 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

3 cups boiling water
6 tea bags (I prefer green tea)
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup grape juice, chilled (calls for purple grape juice)
1 medium orange, sliced
1 medium lemon, sliced
1 medium lime, sliced
1/4 cup club soda, chilled

Steps:

  • Pour boiling water over the tea bags, then cover & brew for 5 minutes. Squeeze the excess tea from the bags, then pour into a large pitcher. Stir in the sugar & let cool.
  • EXCEPT for the club soda, add remaining ingredients to the tea & chill at least 2 hours.
  • Just before serving, add club soda, then pour into ice-filled glasses.

Drinks that quench the whole crowd, kids included, are a hot commodity on a summer day. This fruity, iced green-tea is pretty enough to serve at a nice brunch or sip casually by the pool. It's also a cinch to make but allow at least two hours for chilling before serving.
