I took another recipe and changed it to suit my taste and to offer more choices of flavors. I have made this recipe many times and each time it comes out perfect. I hope you enjoy the results as much as we do. Cream Soda, Orange, Mello Yello and Strawberry are our favorites so far.

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 (12 ounce) bottle carbonated beverages
3 cups sugar
1 (3 ounce) envelope liquid pectin

Steps:

  • Combine soft drink and sugar in a heavy sauce pot.
  • Bring to boil and boil one minute.
  • Add pectin.
  • Stirring constantly, bring to another boil and boil hard for 1 minute.
  • Ladle into clean hot jars seal with clean hot lids and bans.
  • For those who prefer - Process for 5 minutes in a boiling water bath canner.
  • NOTE: I use and prefer the inversion method for this recipe.
  • Cook time is estimate.

SODA POP CAKE

A white cake with strawberry gelatin and whipped topping makes a great summer cake that is nice and cool.

1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
1 ½ cups boiling water
1 (6 ounce) package strawberry flavored Jell-O®
16 fluid ounces strawberry flavored carbonated beverage
1 (5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 ½ cups milk
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • Prepare cake according to package instructions for a 9x13 inch pan. remove from oven and poke holes in the cake with a wooden skewer or toothpick.
  • In a medium bowl, combine boiling water with strawberry gelatin. Stir until dissolved and allow to cool slightly. Pour in the strawberry flavored carbonated beverage. Pour slowly over cake, allowing it to soak in. Refrigerate until cool.
  • To make the Frosting: In a medium bowl combine pudding and milk. Beat until well blended and thickened. Fold in the thawed whipped topping. Spread on cake. Refrigerate for several hours before serving.

SPARKLING JELLO SALAD MADE WITH SODA



Sparkling Jello Salad Made with Soda image

Number Of Ingredients 5

1.5 cups water
1.5 cups cranberry ginger ale (or other soda)
6 ounces jello, any flavor
2 cups mixed berries, frozen or fresh
Cool whip

Steps:

  • Place water and soda in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and dissolve jello mix.
  • Place in a baking dish and mix in berries.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for four hours.
  • Once set, mash up with cool whip.
  • Serve immediately.

2 c soda pop any kind
6 c sugar
1 c water
3 oz liquid pectin

Steps:

  • 1. combine first three ingredients. Heat to a boil stiring to dissolve sugar, when boiling point is reached add pectin, stir constantlywhile bringing back to boiling point, boil for 30 seconds. skim off foam, pour into hot jars, put lids on and processin hot water bath for 5 minutes.cool on counter and refrigerate after.
