SNOWY BOURBON BALLS
Bourbon, nut and wafer cookie candies make a nice addition to the Christmas goodies for gift-giving - these easy dessert treats are ready in just 30 minutes.

Steps:
- In large bowl, mix cookie crumbs, pecans, 3/4 cup powdered sugar and the cocoa, stirring well.
- In small bowl, mix bourbon and corn syrup, stirring until blended. Pour bourbon mixture over cookie mixture; stir until blended. Shape into 1-inch balls; roll in additional powdered sugar. Store tightly covered at room temperature up to 2 weeks.

- Heat oven to 375. In large bowl, beat flour, butter, 1/3 cup powdered sugar, 3 T. milk and vanilla with mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon. Cut almond paste into 1/2 inch slices; cut each slice into 8 pieces.
- Shape 1 inch ball of dough around each piece of almond paste. Gently roll to form ball. On ungreased cookie sheet, place balls about 1 inch apart.
- Bake 10-12 minutes or until set and bottoms are golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
- In small bowl, mix all frosting ingredients with spoon until smooth. Dip tops of cookies into frosting.

- Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, cream butter and confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in milk and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour., Cut almond paste into 12 slices (about 1/4 in. thick); cut each into quarters. Shape into balls. Wrap tablespoons of cookie dough around almond paste to cover completely. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets., Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool completely., In a small bowl, mix vanilla icing ingredients until smooth. For chocolate icing, mix confectioners' sugar, cooled chocolate, milk and vanilla until smooth. Dip cookies in icings as desired; allow excess to drip off. Decorate with sprinkles. Place on waxed paper; let stand until set. Store in airtight containers.
