Here's what you need: frozen dinner rolls, cream cheese, sour cream, medium sweet vidalia onion, shredded white cheddar, salt, pepper, small tomato slices, small carrot pieces, black peppercorns

12 frozen dinner rolls
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 medium sweet vidalia onion, diced
1 cup shredded white cheddar, divided
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
16 small tomato slices
8 small carrot pieces
32 black peppercorns

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Thaw the dinner rolls. Split 4 of them in half, and roll them into small balls. Place on a greased baking sheet, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise while you make the dip.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, onion, ¾ cup (75 gram) of white cheddar, salt, and pepper. Spread the dip into a greased pie dish and sprinkle with the remaining ¼ cup (25 gram) of cheddar.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the dip from the oven and top with the dinner rolls, larger ones on the outside, smaller ones on the inside.
  • Decorate with pieces of tomato for the scarf, a piece of carrot for the nose, and peppercorns for the eyes and buttons. Make sure to push them in hard!
  • Bake for an additional 20 minutes.

2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 stalks green onion, diced
1 medium red onion, diced
1 medium Vidalia onion, diced
1 small white onion, diced
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
2 cups sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
Serving suggestions: crostini or crudites

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Melt the butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add the green onions, red onion, Vidalia onion, white onion and brown sugar and saute for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the vinegar and Worcestershire and continue cooking until the onions are very soft and a caramel color, another 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in the cream cheese until it is melted into the onions. Remove the mixture to a large bowl, then stir in the sour cream, mayonnaise and chives. Transfer to an 8-inch square baking dish and top with the Parmesan. Bake until golden and bubbling, 15 to 20 minutes. Serve with crostini or crudites.

This is a cute way to serve dip for your holiday party. The kids love it and it looks like you have skills that you don't have. Use frozen dough to make the snowman. Buy the ranch or spinach dip. Don't slave in the kitchen, enjoy the Holidays!!!

2 (1 lb) frozen bread dough, thawed
black icing or frosting
1 egg, lightly beaten
ranch dip or spinach dip
assorted fresh vegetable
cracker

Steps:

  • Combine both loaves of thawed bread.
  • PreHeat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease a cookie sheet.
  • To make body, you will make 4 round balls from the dough. Make each ball a little bigger. (Just like a snowman.)
  • You will take the smallest ball and form a hat. The hat will be a ball and a small round cylindar for the brim. Place on greased baking sheet. (see picture).
  • For body, flatten balls and place on the greased baking sheet.
  • Brush dough with egg.
  • Cover and let rise for about 30-35 minutes or til doubled.
  • Bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes til golden brown.
  • Remove to a wire rack to cool.
  • Cut an oval in in the lower ball of the snowman.
  • Hollow out bread leaving a shell.
  • Cut bread into cubes for dipping.
  • Let cool Completely.
  • Use icing to draw eyes, nose, mouth and buttons on body. The bread has to be cooled completely or the icing will melt.
  • Fill hole in belly with with dip.
  • Surround entire bunny with bread cubes, fresh veggies and crackers for dipping.
