1 lb. extra-lean ground beef
2 celery stalks, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 can (16 oz.) kidney beans, rinsed
1 can (10 oz.) diced tomatoes and green chiles, undrained
1 cup water
1 WYLER'S Instant Bouillon Beef Flavored Cube
3/4 cup instant white rice, uncooked
3/4 cup HEINZ BBQ Sauce Classic Sweet & Thick
1-1/2 cups KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Steps:

  • Brown meat with celery, carrots and onions in large nonstick skillet on medium heat, stirring frequently; spoon into slow cooker sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Add beans, tomatoes, water and bouillon cube; stir. Cover with lid. Cook on LOW 5 to 6 hours (or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours).
  • Add rice and barbecue sauce; mix well. Cook, covered, 20 min.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.

1 onion, chopped
1 1/2 lb ground chuck, browned and drained
6 medium potatoes, sliced
1 can(s) red beans
1 can(s) tomatoes
2 Tbsp 2 tablespoons flour
salt, pepper and garlic to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Put chopped onion in the bottom of the crockpot. Layer with browned ground beef, sliced potatoes and beans. Spread tomatoes mixed with the flour over all. Sprinkle with seasonings as desired. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours
