Tender, succulent and juicy pulled pork made to perfection in your slow cooker. Made with a simple dry rub and slow cooked in a savory mix to create the most delicious homemade pulled pork.

3lb - 4lb pork shoulder butt
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tsp kosher salt
1 1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp ground mustard
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
3/4 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp liquid smoke

Steps:

  • Cut meat into 4-6 equal sized pieces. Trim fat as desired.
  • In a bowl, mix salt, pepper, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika and cayenne pepper and rub all over meat.
  • Add chicken broth, cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke to slow cooker and whisk it together. Place meat into slow cooker.
  • Slow cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours.
  • Remove meat to a bowl and shred with two forks. Serve with juices from slow cooker or add your favorite BBQ sauce.

1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
3 tablespoons chili powder
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 (3-pound) pork shoulder (or butt), trimmed of excess fat
Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper
5 cloves garlic, minced or grated
2 yellow onions, diced
1/4 cup fresh lime juice

Steps:

  • Combine the tomato sauce, chili powder, brown sugar, coriander and cumin in the base of your slow cooker. Stir to combine and distribute the spices evenly.
  • Sprinkle the pork with salt and pepper and place it in the slow cooker. Using tongs, turn the pork to coat it evenly in the sauce. Add in the garlic and onions, stir again. Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook until the pork is tender and beginning to fall apart, on low 8 to 10 hours or on high 4 to 6 hours.
  • Transfer the pork to a serving bowl. Allow to cool slightly, and then shred using 2 forks, removing any excess fat.
  • Skim any excess fat off of the sauce remaining in the slow cooker. Stir in the lime juice and season with salt and pepper. Add the shredded pork back into the slow cooker and mix it with the sauce that was created during the cooking. You can store the pork in its sauce for 3 to 4 days.

1 boneless pork loin roast (4 pounds)
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) beef broth
1/3 cup plus 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce, divided
1/3 cup plus 1/4 cup Louisiana-style hot sauce, divided
1 cup ketchup
1 cup molasses
1/2 cup prepared mustard
10 kaiser rolls, split

Steps:

  • Cut roast in half; place in a 5-qt. slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine broth, 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce and 1/3 cup hot sauce; pour over roast. Cook, covered, on low 8-10 hours or until tender., Remove roast; discard cooking juices. Shred pork with 2 forks. Return pork to slow cooker., In a small bowl, combine ketchup, molasses, mustard and remaining Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Pour over pork. 1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon packed brown sugar
1 boneless pork shoulder roast (2 1/2 to 3 lb)
1/4 cup water
1 cup barbecue sauce

Steps:

  • In small bowl, stir together paprika, salt, garlic powder and brown sugar.
  • Spray 5- to 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Rub paprika mixture on pork to cover completely. Place pork in slow cooker. Pour water around pork.
  • Cover; cook on Low heat setting 7 to 8 hours or High heat setting 3 to 4 hours, until extremely tender.
  • Transfer pork to cutting board. Let rest until cool enough to handle. Use 2 forks to shred pork.
