My husband says this is the best thing I've ever made him for dinner. As usual, I'm just guessing on prep time.

Number Of Ingredients 11

6 tablespoons butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 large onion, sliced
8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
1 1/2 lbs sirloin, cut in 1 inch pieces
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons dry sherry

Steps:

  • Combine first 5 ingredients & stir garlic butter well.
  • Melt 3 Tablespoons butter in skillet on med-high heat.
  • Add onion& cook 3 minutes till golden.
  • Add mushrooms & cook 4 minutes till tender.
  • Remove from skillet.
  • Sprinkle steak with salt & pepper.
  • Melt 3 Tablespoons butter over med.
  • high heat & add steak.
  • Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Return onion/mushroom mix to skillet & stir in sherry.
  • Cook till thoroughly heated & serve over rice.

I have never tasted any other steak that came even close to the ones made with this recipe. If you are having steak, don't skimp on flavor to save a few calories. The butter makes this steak melt in your mouth wonderful.

½ cup butter
2 teaspoons garlic powder
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 pounds beef top sirloin steaks
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat.
  • In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat with garlic powder and minced garlic. Set aside.
  • Sprinkle both sides of each steak with salt and pepper.
  • Grill steaks 4 to 5 minutes per side, or to desired doneness. When done, transfer to warmed plates. Brush tops liberally with garlic butter, and allow to rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.

2 pounds sirloin tips, trimmed and cubed into bite-sized pieces
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 large cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped flat-leaf parsley, a couple of handfuls
1 lemon, zested and juiced
1/2 cup white vermouth or dry white wine

Steps:

  • Bring meat to room temperature and pat dry. Heat the extra-virgin olive oil in large, heavy skillet or cast iron skillet over medium-high to high heat. When the oil smokes, add the meat and caramelize before turning. Once evenly browned all over, about 5 minutes, season liberally with salt and pepper, add the garlic and toss with the meat for 2 minutes. Stir in the parsley and a little lemon zest and cook for another minute. Add the white vermouth and deglaze the pan. Turn off the heat, add the lemon juice and toss to coat. Transfer to a serving platter and serve immediately.

  • Melt 3 tablespoons of the butter mixture in a skillet on med-high heat.
  • Add onion and cook 3 minutes until golden.
  • Add mushrooms and cook about 4 minutes until tender.
  • Remove from skillet.
  • Sprinkle steak with salt & pepper.
  • Melt the other 3 tablespoons of butter over medium high heat and add steak.
  • Cook for 5 minutes stirring constantly.
  • Return onion/mushroom mix to skillet and stir in sherry and half and half.
  • Cook till thoroughly heated through and serve over rice or egg noodles.
