Time 3h40m

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 Full Racks of Pork Loin Ribs {Baby Back}
1 large bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce
1 T. garlic powder
1 T. paprika
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground pepper
1 large sweet onion, peeled & cut into wedges
6 garlic cloves, peeled and left whole

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325ºF.
  • Remove the membrane or silverskin from the bottom side of the ribs. (see photo above) Flip over the rib rack so you are looking at the bottom side (the side without the meat.) Go to one end of the rib rack, using a knife slide it under the silverskin and pull. It should peel right off in one swipe. Once you have removed this part from all 3 full racks, set them aside and prepare the spice rub.
  • In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  • Next, rub this spice blend on the top side of each rack and place racks in two 13×9 baking dishes or in a roasting pan.
  • Next, evenly spread the onion quarters and garlic cloves between the two baking dishes, placing the onions and garlic cloves on top of or underneath the racks of ribs.
  • Lastly, add a 1/2″ of water to the bottom of each baking to dish. Completely cover each dish with aluminum foil. Place in oven and bake for 3 hours. {thats right.. you heard me... long and slow}
  • Remove from the oven, discard the onions and garlic cloves. Place rack of ribs on medium heat grill with bottom side facing down.
  • Slather each side of the ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce and grill each side for 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes.

One-Pan Baby Back Ribs Recipe by Tasty image

You don't need a barbecue to make flavorful baby back ribs - in fact, all you really need is one sheet tray. After slowly roasting the ribs on it, load it up with corn and asparagus in the final ten minutes of cooking and dinner is done. The ribs will be falling off the bone, and the veggies will be perfectly tender yet crisp. The best part? You'll only have to wash one dish.

SIMPLE, SUCCULENT BBQ BABY BACK RIBS

Simple, Succulent BBQ Baby Back Ribs image

I love this quick ribs recipe. The meat is tender, delicious and just falls off the bone. The kicked-up BBQ sauce really enhances the flavors. We did add the chili flakes for that extra bite, but these would be just as good without it. Great for your next cookout!

Categories     Ribs

Time 1h10m

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 full sides of back ribs
2 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
1 bottle your favorite bbq sauce
1 tsp liquid smoke flavoring
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
1 tsp garlic powder

Steps:

  • 1. Cut the sides of ribs into 'racks' of 4-5 ribs each.
  • 2. Boil water in a large pot.
  • 3. Add racks of ribs and boil for 45 minutes.
  • 4. While waiting for the ribs to boil, mix the BBQ sauce, liquid smoke, cider vinegar, chili flakes and about 1 tsp of the steak spice.
  • 5. Preheat BBQ.
  • 6. Remove ribs from water and sprinkle both sides liberally with the steak spice and garlic powder.
  • 7. Add ribs to BBQ and brush top side with sauce immediately.
  • 8. Flip ribs over and sauce the other side.
  • 9. Cook ribs on BBQ turning 1/4 turn at 2 min mark and flip again at 4 min mark. About 8 mins total for both sides. NOTE - my times are approximate here - You are only doing this to caramelize the sauce and put some BBQ char marks on the ribs - so use your eyes to decide when they look good - and feel free to baste with more sauce before serving so they have that 'wet and shiny' look!
  • 10. Remove from BBQ and enjoy!
