Easy Swedish Meatball Sauce image

A quick but very tasty sauce to add to already prepared frozen meatballs. This recipe makes a generous amount of sauce for a 1/2 package (20 oz) of meatballs. Serve over egg noodles or rice.

1 cup beef stock
1 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon dried rosemary
½ (20 ounce) package frozen cooked meatballs, thawed

Steps:

  • Whisk together the beef stock, heavy cream, flour, soy sauce, black pepper, and rosemary in a large saucepan until smooth. Cook and stir over low heat until thickened, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in the meatballs, and continue cooking until meatballs are heated through, about 5 more minutes.

420 g condensed tomato soup
1/4 cup sour cream
chopped parsley (to garnish)

Steps:

  • Heat meatballs as directed on pkt.
  • Place soup & sour cream in a pan and whisk to combine, add meatballs and cook over a moderate heat until meatballs are heated through.
  • Sprinkle with parsley to serve.

1/2 cup sliced onion
2 cups beef broth
3 Tbsp. flour

1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
1-1/2 cups water
1-1/4 cups ketchup

2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup dry bread crumbs
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 pounds ground beef
1 bottle (14 ounces) ketchup
1 jar (12 ounces) grape jelly
1 medium onion, finely chopped

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the eggs, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 1-in. balls. , Place on a greased rack in a shallow baking pan. This is one of my adopted Zaar recipes. I suggest using Basic Meatballs recipe #8060 for the meatballs listed in this recipe as it is almost identical to the recipe that I use. I would also suggest serving this over noodles with a salad and crusty rolls for an easy no-fuss meal that will come together quickly.

1 (10 3/4 ) can cream of chicken soup (Use the condensed soup without diluting it.)
1/3 cup milk
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup sour cream
parsley, Snipped

Steps:

  • Prepare the Basic Meatball recipe.
  • Combine the cooked meatballs, soup, milk, and nutmeg in a large skillet; heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce the heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
