1 quart sherbet, any flavor (I use rainbow flavor)
1/2 liter carbonated carbonated lemon-lime beverage (7 Up is the best)

Steps:

  • Mix 1/2 quart of sherbet & 1/4 liter of soda together in a blender. Repeat with the other half of the ingredients.
  • Serve chilled in a glass.

1 cup Orange Soda

Steps:

  • Put one heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream to your blender.
  • Add a heaping scoop of orange sherbet and orange soda, blend until frothy.
  • Pour into a 12 oz. glass and top with whipped cream and a cherry.

I use the Magic Bullet to make these smoothies, but you could also use a regular blender. It is perfect for those hot summer days.

2 -3 scoops Orange sherbet
2 cups ice
1/3 cup orange juice
1/3 cup tonic water
5 orange-flavored cream savers hard candies

Steps:

  • Add the orange sherbet, juice, tonic water, Cream Savers, and lastly, ice. *Note* If you are using a regular blender, go in the opposite order in which it is listed.
  • Blend until the Cream Savers are pulverized along with the ice.
  • Add tonic water and orange juice, OR orange sherbet till you reach desired consistency.

Number Of Ingredients 7

7 ounces sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons finely grated orange zest
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice, approximately 2 to 3 pounds oranges
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups very cold whole milk

Steps:

  • In the bowl of a food processor combine all of the ingredients except the milk and process until the sugar is dissolved, approximately 1 minute. Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl and whisk in the milk. Cover the bowl and place in the refrigerator until the mixture reaches 40 degrees F or below, approximately 1 hour.
  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and process until it is the consistency of soft serve ice cream. You may serve now or transfer to a lidded container and place in freezer until firm, approximately 3 hours.
