Number Of Ingredients 7

1 Big Salmon Filet (250g), cut in big chunks
1 tsp. Salt
2 tbsp. Blackened Seasoning
1 tbsp. Olive Oil
2 tbsp. Butter
1 tbsp. Honey
1 tsp. Garlic Clove, minced

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven broiler (you can also place the rack of the oven as up as possible and set the maximum temperature).
  • Combine salmon, salt, blackened seasoning and olive oil.
  • Line a baking sheet with foil and arrange the salmon bites.
  • Broil them for 10 minutes, remove from the oven, flip them over and broil them 5 more minutes - continue watching them until they are golden brown.
  • Melt the butter and combine with honey and garlic.
  • Top the bites with the glaze and serve.

Yield Serves 6 as an hors d'oeuvre

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup soy sauce
24 ounces skinned salmon fillet
1/4 cup freshly ground black pepper
vegetable or canola oil

Steps:

  • Cut salmon into bite-size cubes. Combine maple syrup and soy sauce in a medium-size bowl and add salmon, making sure the fish is fully immersed in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.
  • Grease a sheet of aluminum foil with the oil (vegetable oil sprays work well). Preheat oven to 500°F. Put pepper in small bowl or plate and dip top of salmon pieces into pepper. Place each peppered piece on foil, then cook in oven for 3 to 4 minutes. Serve immediately.
