5 cups thinly sliced peeled potatoes
1 cup chopped onion
Salt and pepper to taste
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1/2 cup sour cream
6 pork loin chops (1 inch thick)
Chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • In a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish, layer half of the potatoes and onion; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Repeat layers. Combine the soup and sour cream; pour over potato mixture. Cover and bake at 375° for 30 minutes. , Meanwhile in a nonstick skillet, brown pork chops on both sides. Place chops on top of casserole. Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer or until chops are tender. Sprinkle with parsley.

5 lbs potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
6 tablespoons butter or 6 tablespoons margarine
6 tablespoons flour
salt and pepper
3 cups milk
4 -6 boneless center cut pork chops or 4 -6 boneless pork chops

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a 2 qt sauce pan over medium heat Whisk in flour and stir until smooth.
  • Season with salt and pepper and cook for 1 minute.
  • Gradually add milk, stir constantly until mixture boils.
  • Boil for 1 minute.
  • Pour mixture over potatoes, mix well, ensuring all potatoes are coated.
  • Spray a 4 qt casserole dish with non-stick spray.
  • Place a layer of potatoes in bottom of dish.
  • Top with 2-3 pork chops Cover with another layer of potatoes.
  • Top with 2-3 pork chops.
  • Cover with a layer of potatoes Bake covered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  • Remove cover and bake for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until potatoes are fork tender.

3 tablespoons butter, divided
1 ½ teaspoons salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
6 pork chops
6 cups thinly sliced potatoes
1 dash paprika

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In sauce pan melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Add salt, pepper and flour. Pour in the chicken broth, cook and stir until mixture boils. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In skillet brown pork chops in 1 tablespoon butter. Grease a cooking dish with the remaining tablespoon butter and layer potatoes. Pour mixture over potatoes and place browned chops on top. Sprinkle paprika on top.
  • Cover and bake for 1 hour. Uncover and bake for an additional 30 minutes.

4 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
6 bone-in pork loin chops (7 ounces each)
1 tablespoon canola oil
2 large onions, sliced and separated into rings
2 teaspoons butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) reduced-sodium chicken broth
1 cup fat-free milk

Steps:

  • Place potatoes in a 5- or 6-qt. slow cooker coated with cooking spray. In a large nonstick skillet, brown pork chops in oil in batches., Place chops over potatoes. Saute onions in drippings until tender; place over chops. Melt butter in skillet. Combine the flour, salt, pepper and broth until smooth. Stir into pan. Add milk. 5 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 onion, quartered then sliced
2 ½ cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons butter
salt and pepper to taste
5 pork chops

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place the sliced potatoes and sliced onion in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish; mix gently. Cover the potatoes and onions with cheese. Fill dish with milk halfway. Place butter in several places on top of the cheese. Place the pork chops on top. Salt and pepper to taste. Bake 60 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Turn pork chops over halfway through cooking.

6-8 large potatoes
1 Tbsp oil
1/2 c all purpose flour
4 boneless pork chops
3 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 1/2 c milk
1 Tbsp minced onion

Steps:

  • 1. Pare potatoes and slice thin; coat pork chops with small amount of flour and brown on both sides in oil in a large skillet.
  • 2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter; add flour, salt and pepper, and minced onion. Mix with melted butter till thickened. Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly. Keep stirring until it starts to thicken.
  • 3. Place potatoes in Dutch oven or large baking dish. Pour half of white sauce over them. Place pork chops on top. Cover with remaining white sauce.
  • 4. Bake, covered, in a 350-degree oven for 1 hour. Remove lid and bake another 30 minutes.
  • 5. You may also add 4 to 8 ounces of cheddar cheese to the white sauce while it is hot.

½ cup half-and-half
6 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced, divided
½ cup diced onion, divided
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with 1 tablespoon butter.
  • Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat. Season pork chops with salt and pepper; cook in skillet until browned, 3 to 5 minutes per side.
  • Melt remaining 3 tablespoons butter in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir mustard and thyme into the butter; season with salt and pepper. Whisk flour into the butter mixture to make a thick paste. Slowly whisk chicken broth and half-and-half into the paste mixture until smooth.
