GRILLED NUTELLA AND BANANA SANDWICH



Grilled Nutella and Banana Sandwich image

My own concoction after scrounging around late one night for a quick impromptu dessert. Turned out pretty yummy, if I say so myself! Of course, how can you go wrong with anything Nutella?

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 slices poundcake, 3/4 inch thick
2 tablespoons nutella
5 slices bananas, 1/2 inch thick
butter

Steps:

  • Spread nutella over each slice of pound cake.
  • Place banana over Nutella on one of the cake slices.
  • Fold second cake slice onto the first to make a sandwich.
  • Spread butter on one side of sandwich. Grill, buttered side down, until golden brown.
  • Butter second side of bread, flip, and grill until golden brown.
  • Enjoy!

French-toasted Banana Sandwich image

Here's a different twist to your old french toast recipe, and boy, are these good!....kids just love these....and grown-ups too!....great snack or lunch.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 tablespoon peanut butter (optional)
4 slices white bread or 4 slices grain bread
2 bananas
2 eggs
1/3 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch salt
3 teaspoons butter

Steps:

  • Spread peanut butter (if using) over the bread slices.
  • Slice each banana lenghwise into 4 pieces; sandwich between bread slices.
  • In a pie plate, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and salt; add sandwiches turning to soak up mixture.
  • In a skillet heat the butter over med-high heat.
  • Cook sandwiches for 5 minutes, or until browned on both sides.
