SARA LEE KAHLUA WHITE RUSSIAN BROWNIES - COPYCAT
This is a copycat recipe by Judy Chatham, I copies this recipe in 1999 and still have not tried it. Sounds really great esp with Xmas coming. Now I am going to go make a batch. Hummmm I wonder what I can do with all that leftover Vodka..............

Steps:
- Cream together cream cheese, 1 egg, 1/4 cup sugar, Vodka, 2 tbsp flour and 2 tbsp soft butter, set aside.
- In a separate bowl sift remaining flour, sugar, cocoa, salt, and baking powder.
- Stir in remaining butter and 1/2 cup Kahlua, add 1 egg at a time and mix well. Pour half cocoa mixture in a buttered and lightly floured 9" baking pan.
- Add cream cheese mixture and cut lightly with a knife, then add remaining cocoa mixture.
- Bake at 325°F for about 30 minutes.
- When cool brush with 1/4 cup of remaining Kahlua.
- I am guessing at the servings none listed until I try the recipe.

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 x 9 " baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, cream 1 1/4 cups of sugar and 4 tbsp of butter. Add 2 eggs and mix well. Stir in half of the Kahlua. Sift together 1 cup of flour, cocoa poweder, and salt. stir into the butter mixture until well blended. Spread half of this mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- In another bowl, stir together the 1/4 cup flour and 1/4 cup sugar. Add softened cream cheese and mix well. Stir in one egg and the vodka. Mix until smooth. Spread this evenly over the chocolate layer. Pour the remaining chocolate mixture over top of this. You can make a pattern of stripes or swirl the chocolate with a toothpick.
- Bake for 35 to 45 minutes in the preheated oven. When brownies are cool, brush with the remaining 1/4 cup of Kahlua. .

KAHLUA BROWNIES WITH WHITE & DARK CHOCOLATE FROSTING
Delicious, sophisticated brownies that are great during the holidays as well as to finish a Mexican meal. While there are a lot of steps, it's actually a pretty easy dish to make and enjoy. Adapted from "Layers of Flavor" by Ray Overton.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Grease and flour a 13x9x2 baking dish and set aside (can use a mix of cocoa and flour to prevent white edges around finished brownies) In a big bowl (preferably by hand, NOT mixer), combine well the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
- Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and Kahlua, and stir just until blended (do not overmix).
- Fold in chopped nuts, if you are using them.
- Put batter in prepared baking dish, evening out the batter with a spatula.
- Bake for 40- 45 minutes or until the edges of brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the dish.
- Remove from the oven and put dish on wire rack to cool.
- Immediately sprinkle dark chocolate chips over top of hot brownies.
- Lighly place a sheet of aluminum foil over dish to hold in and reflect heat.
- After about 5 minutes, when chips are melted, spread over the brownies with a spatula.
- Immediately sprinkle white chocolate over the frosting, and lightly cover dish with the foil again.
- After about 2 minutes, when chocolate is melted, gently swirl them into the dark chocolate to create a marbleized look.
- Let cool 2 hours before cutting.
