ORANGE VINAIGRETTE

A quick and simple Orange Vinaigrette that delivers an explosion of flavors that are both bright and spicy with a touch of sweetness. Use on salads, vegetables, poultry, or pork. Makes about 1/2 cup.

Number Of Ingredients 9

¼ cup frozen orange juice concentrate (thawed)
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons honey
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 garlic clove (minced, (about 1/2 teaspoon))
½ teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
¼ teaspoon pepper
Pinch of crushed red pepper (optional)
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

Steps:

  • Place all the ingredients except for the olive oil in a bowl and whisk together to combine.
  • Drizzle in the olive oil while whisking until it's emulsified.
  • Keep stored in the fridge.
  • Serve over your favorite greens, vegetables, chicken, pork, or fish.

SAMBAL-ORANGE VINAIGRETTE

1 tablespoon sambal oelek chili paste
2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1/4 cup grapeseed or other neutral oil
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, whisk the sambal with the orange juice and rice vinegar. Gradually whisk in the oil and season with salt.
  • The sambal-vinaigrette can be refrigerated for up to 2 days. Whisk before serving to re-emulsify.

2 tablespoons (1 fl. oz.) Orange Juice (about half a large orange)
1 tablespoon (15 grams) Extra Virgin Olive Oil, or more as desired
1 tablespoon (15 grams) Apple Cider Vinegar
1 ½ teaspoons (7.5 grams) Maple Syrup
1/8 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt
2 Pinches Black Pepper
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Sriracha Sauce, optional

Steps:

  • Add all of the ingredients to a jar, top with a lid, and shake until well combined.
  • Taste the vinaigrette and adjust the seasonings, adding more salt, pepper, or maple syrup as desired.

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons orange marmalade
2 tablespoons seedless raspberry preserves
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup olive oil
SALAD:
1 package (5 ounces) spring mix salad greens
2 fennel bulbs, thinly sliced
1 can (15 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained
1/4 cup coarsely chopped pistachios, toasted
