Steps:
- 1. Sauté onion, peppers, garlic and bay leaves in the olive oil, 2. Add tomato sauce and sauté 5 more minutes. Add ham and cook for 15 more minutes 3. Add the water, salt & pepper and saffron (or VIGO) and bring to boil, boil for 5 minutes. 4. Add your rice and boil it until water is consumed. Lower heat to "low" and cover pan until rice is done. 5. I usually serve this with black beans - recipe below. ***This can be made without meat***
