WINE-STEWED PRUNES + MASCARPONE image

1 lb. pitted prunes (about 40)
1 1/4 c sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
2 1/2 c dry red wine
16 oz. mascarpone

Steps:

  • 1. Combine first 4 in pot over med-hi. When it boils, reduce to simmer 45min, til liquid has turned to syrup. 2. Rest at least 15 min. Spread a mound of mascarpone on each plate; top with 6 prunes and drizzle with syrup.
