Wild Rice and Sausage Dressing image

Number Of Ingredients 8

5 cups water
2 teaspoons chicken bouillon or 2 chicken-flavor bouillon cubes
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3/4 cup uncooked wild rice
1 1/2 cups uncooked long-grain white rice
1 pound bulk pork sausage
1 1/2 cups chopped celery
3/4 cup chopped onion

Steps:

  • 1. In large saucepan, combine water, bouillon and salt bring to a boil. Add wild rice. Reduce heat to low cover and simmer 20 minutes.2. Add long-grain rice. Cover simmer an additional 25 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.3. Meanwhile, in large skillet, combine sausage, celery and onions cook until browned. Drain.4. Stir in rice mixture.
