White Linen image

This refreshing drink was created by the bartender Rene Dominguez and popularized in the '00s at the Shady Lady Saloon in Sacramento. It has become so popular in the city that a canned version was released in 2017.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 1/2 ounces gin, preferably Hendrick's
1 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup (see note)
1/2 ounce St-Germain elderflower liqueur
3 cucumber slices, plus more for garnish
Soda water

Steps:

  • Combine gin, juice, syrup, liqueur and 3 cucumber slices in a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice. Shake until chilled, about 15 seconds. Pour through a double strainer into a Collins glass filled with ice. Top with soda water, about two ounces. Garnish with a few cucumber slices.
