Warm Mustard Sauce image

Pour this warm sauce over smoked sausages, baked potatoes or hot dogs....an excellent entry from my collection !!!

Yield 1 big cup

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 medium onion, minced
1 medium green bell pepper, seeded and minced
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 cup Dijon mustard

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a saucepan.
  • Add the onion and pepper.
  • Cook until just soft (do not brown).
  • Add the garlic, celery seed and Dijon.
  • Heat for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from the heat and allow the sauce to sit for 15 minutes.
