Velvet Cream Biscuits image

We fill these biscuits with everything. They are good all by themselves as well!

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 cup(s) all purpose flour
2 tablespoon(s) baking powder
1 teaspoon(s) salt
2 tablespoon(s) sugar
2 1/2 cup(s) whipping cream, more if needed
1/4 cup(s) butter, melted

Steps:

  • Combine first 4 ingredients, then add whipping cream and stir until dry ingredients are moistened. Can use a little more cream if needed, your dough should come together but not be loose.
  • Turn dough out onto a well floured surface and knead 10 to 12 times. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter and place on lightly greased baking sheets.
  • Brush with melted butter. Bake at 400 degrees 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown 2 1/2 dozen. These freeze well. I heat them up in my microwave about 1-2 minutes.
