Vegetarian Dashi image

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 small piece (4 to 5 square inch) kombu (dried, cultivated kelp or seaweed)
2 cups water
1 cup vegetable stock

Steps:

  • Place kombu in a saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Reduce mixture to a low simmer and allow to simmer for several hours. Add stock. Return mixture to the boil and then remove from heat.
