Steps:
- 1. In a large cast iron frying pan, cook bacon on med high until fat appears in pan. Add onions.Cook both together until onions are browned. Bacon is semi crisp. Set aside.
- 2. In a large stew pot on medium heat add Bush's baked beans, OR (if your iron skillet is big enough drain the bacon fat,leave the onions and bacon in the pan. Add the remaining ingredients). Stir in onions and bacon and the rest of the ingredients.
- 3. Increase to medium/high heat. Bring to a gentle boil. Stirring occasionally so the beans don't stick and the flavors blend. Reduce heat back to medium for remaining 10 minutes.
- 4. Serve um up! Uncle Tommy would want you to really enjoy his Baked Beans! He always served them with laughter.
