TURKEY PASTA SAUCE image

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 pound ground turkey
1 onion, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
1 cup red wine
1 tablespoon oregano
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
salt
pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oil over medium heat. 2. 2. Saute onions and carrots until soft. 3. Add garlic and saute until it starts to smell good (about 2 minutes). 4. Raise heat to medium high. 5. Add ground turkey and brown thoroughly. 6. Add fish sauce. Cook 1 minute. 7. Add wine. Cook down until most of the liquid is gone. 8. Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, bay leaves, salt and pepper to taste. 9. Simmer 20 minutes. Serve over pasta of your choice.
