Tuna Patties image

When I was younger, my grandpa used to make tuna patties and I always loved them. They were basically just tuna, eggs, and breadcrumbs. I took my cue from him but added a little more to the recipe and I really love them- as does my family.

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 can(s) chunk light tuna, drained
1 onion, diced
1 celery stalk, diced
1/2 red, yellow, or orange bell pepper, diced
3 Tbsp canola mayonnaise
1/3 c instant potato flakes, dry
2 large eggs
1/2 tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper
canola oil

Steps:

  • 1. Mix together the first 7 ingredients. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder, stirring to combine.
  • 2. Form tuna mixture into patties.
  • 3. Drizzle canola oil in a large skillet. Add patties (in batches if necessary) and fry for about 4 minutes, or until browned, on each side. Serve.
