Time 2h30m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/2 lb ground pork
1/2 c onion, minced
two large potatoes, peeled, diced and cooked
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp cinnamon
two pie crusts

Steps:

  • 1. In a 4 qt. saucepan, brown ground pork with onion. Drain off fat. While the pork is browning, peel and dice the potatoes. Fill a med. saucepan 2/3 full with water and bring to a boil. Cook the potatoes for 10-15 minutes. Drain the potatoes and set aside.
  • 2. Add spices and cooked potatoes. Mash potatoes into meat mixture. Let it sit for 30 minutes to absorb the seasonings. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • 3. Place pie crust in pie pan. Pour filling in to pie crust. Top with second pie crust. Flute edges. Prick top to release steam. Bake pie for 30 minutes, til crust is golden. Let the pie rest for 10 minutes, then serve.
