Yield 48 cookies

Number Of Ingredients 4

48 Nabisco 'Honey Maid" Graham crackers (this refers to 1/4 of the larger whole).
1/2 lb of lightly salted butter (or use unsalted and add some salt)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 and 1/4 oz sliced almonds

Steps:

  • Line a 10 by 15 inch cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Fold up over sides. Place Graham crackers on lined sheet. Spread almonds over Graham Crackers Boil together butter and sugar in sauce pan. Start out at medium hight heat and reduce to low as soon as bubbles start. Continue low boil until mixture reaches 240 degrees on a candy thermometer. Pour and spread butter/sugar toffee over creackers on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 9 and 1/2 minutes. Remove indiividual cookies to lightly greased alumininum foil on counter. Work quickly to separate cookies Transfer from foil to waxed paper to cool
