Thick Meat Sauce for Spaghetti image

An easy, fast, delicious sauce for spaghetti when you are in a hurry and pressed for time.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 lb ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1 (2 ounces) envelope lipton onion soup mix
1/4 tsp oregano
1 can(s) (28 ounces) tomato puree
1 c water
1 can(s) (8 ounces) tomato sauce

Steps:

  • 1. in heavy saucepan, brown ground beef, garlic, salt and pepper, stirring frequently. Stir in soup mix, oregano, tomato puree, water and tomato sauce and put in deeper pot.
  • 2. Simmer, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes or until thickened.
