This is a true story and no one had posted it yet so I thought I would. Woman and daughter have lunch at Neiman-Marcus Cafe in Dallas...have salads, then decide to have a treat so they ordered two chocolate chip cookies. They loved the so much they asked for the recipe, and the waitress said, "I am afraid not" The woman asked if...

Number Of Ingredients 13

2 c butter, room temperature
2 c brown sugar
2 c sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp good vanilla
4 c flour
5 c blended oatmeal (measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder)
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
24 oz chocolate chips
1- 8 oz herseys bar, grated
3 c toasted chopped nuts, i used pecans

Steps:

  • 1. Cream butter and both sugars. Add eggs and Vanilla.
  • 2. Mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Fold in the chocolate and the nuts.
  • 3. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet.
  • 4. Bake for 10 minutes at 375. Makes 112 cookies, (Recipe may be halved)
