Thanksgiving Turkey image

My family loves waking up to the smell of turkey on Thanksgiving morning. We always go to families house where their is already a turkey so we prepare this one for us and snack on it while watching the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Time 4h15m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 turkey, any size
1 poultry or turkey bag
seasoned salt
vegetable oil
3 Tbsp all purpose flour

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to *325 degrees. Place the turkey bag in roasting pan with 3 Tbsps. of Flour in far corner of bag. Set aside. Wash turkey and remove all innards thoroughly. Rub a liberal amount of oil all over turkey, massaging turkey as you go because this tenderizes the meat. Sprinkle to your own taste seasoned salt on inside and outside of turkey. Place turkey inside turkey bag and close tightly with tie that comes with bags. Place in oven and roast for 4 hours. Will come out so tender, and moist, and delicious.
  • 2. I usually put the turkey in the oven around midnight or 1am depending on when I go to bed and set my alarm to wake me when turkey is ready to be removed from oven. Or if you feel better you can prepare the turkey and then place in refrigerator, set alarm for about 4 am, when it goes off place turkey in oven and reset alarm for 8 am to wake up to a wonderful house filled with smells of turkey.. YUM!!
