This is my mothers recipe and whenever I make these, they are gone!

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/4 c butter, melted
2 lb frozen hash brown potatoes
1 c sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 c chopped onions
1 c cheddar cheese, shredded
topping:
1/2 c butter, melted
1 c crushed corn flakes

Steps:

  • 1. Combine butter, hashbrowns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, onions and cheddar cheese in a 9x13 inch pan or equivilent casserole pan.
  • 2. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
  • 3. Drizzle melted butter over potatoes and sprinkle corn flakes crumbs. Bake an additional 5 minutes.
  • 4. Note: I use a glass casserole pan. I also look for sharp cheddar cheese. Some people also like more cheese. Adding more will not hurt it!
