Terrific Toasted Tuna Melts image

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 (6-ounce) can tuna in water, drained
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
8 slices bread
4 slices cheese
2 tablespoons butter, softened

Steps:

  • Combine tuna, mayonnaise, onion, green pepper, and seasonings. On 4 bread slices, place cheese slice, tuna mixture, and second bread slice. Spread butter on outside of sandwiches. Brown on both sides in skillet on medium-high.
