Teriyaki Tuna Steak image

4 8 oz tuna steaks
1 c soy sauce
1 c sake
1/2 c brown sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp tomato paste
6 clove garlic minced
green onions chopped for garnish

Steps:

  • 1. Mix the soy sauce, sake, lemon juice, brown sugar, tomato paste and garlic together. Place the steaks in the marinade. Cover and let marinate for 4 hours.
  • 2. Remove the steaks from the marinate. Pour the marinate into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and let reduce for 10 minutes.
  • 3. Get your grille super hot or if using a pan add some oil and get it hot. Sear the tuna steaks on each side for about 4 minutes per side. Pour the sauce over top and garnish with green onions
