Teriyaki Salmon Fillets image

This is our favorite teriyaki sauce with salmon fillets. This would work equally well with chicken, steak, pork chops, etc.

2 tablespoon(s) mirin
2 tablespoon(s) brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tablespoon(s) rice wine vinegar
1 teaspoon(s) sesame oil
2 clove(s) garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon(s) ginger, minced
OTHER INGREDIENTS
1 teaspoon(s) cornstarch
1 tablespoon(s) water
1 tablespoon(s) oil
4 salmon fillets, skinless
sesame seeds, for garnish
green onions, sliced thinly, for garnish

Steps:

  • Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  • Put salmon fillets in a plastic bag and pour over 1/2 of the sauce ingredients.
  • Let marinate for 30-40 minutes.
  • Heat oil to medium in a large enough pan to cook all the fillets at once. Cook fillets 3-5 minutes on each side depending on the size of fillets, until fillets are done.
