Tater Tot Casserole/beef,cheese,veggies image

I was looking for a tater tot casserole the other day. I read a few different ones and combined a little of each and it turned out great. It was so good. This one is a keeper.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/2 pound(s) ground chuck
1 large onion, chopped
3 small cans cream of mushroom soup
2 can(s) mixed vegetables, drained
1 package(s) mccormicks au jus
1 bag(s) tater tots or tater rounds
2 cup(s) shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Brown ground chuck with onion, drain.
  • In a large mixing bowl pour your 3 cans cream of mushroom soup and 1 package of McCormick's Au Jus. Mix well. Add ground beef and mixed vegetables. Stir until mixed.
  • Pour into a greased 9x13 baking dish. Cover with cheddar cheese.
  • Arrange tater tot (or tater rounds) on top of casserole. Bake for 45 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes, then enjoy. Note: You can spread the cheese on top of the tater tots, if you like. I like the tater tots crispy, so I spread the cheese on first.
